Registration

Registration Procedures

Registration is on a year by year basis and is open to all students residing in the Surrey School District. Mountainview Montessori Elementary School is a Surrey School District "Choice Program"; it is a public Montessori school funded by the school district. Registration procedures are as follows: 

1. Registration will occur for entry into Kindergarten and grade 1 each year. The registration date will be in January and registration procedures are published in advance in the Surrey newspapers. In the past a phone-in time was scheduled each January, school based registration has taken the place of phoning the Surrey school district.

2. September 2004 has seen the addition of 2 Kindergarten classes at Mountainview Montessori School.

3. Siblings of children already in the Montessori program will receive an opportunity to register in advance of the published registration date.

4. Waiting lists will be maintained for each grade on a yearly basis, in case spaces become available in any given year.

5. Students who reside out of the district will only be allowed to register after those within the district have been accommodated.

As of January 2008, there is a waitlist for enrolment into Kindergarten and grade 1, contact the office
